Farming ingredients for dwellberry crunchies
Dwellberry and redberry crunchies are some of the easiest recipes to make because they use unprocessed wheat and dried berries. Berry bushes can be harvested every day and don't require constant replanting, making this a fairly low effort recipe to obtain ingredients for. The main benefit of this method is that it levels up both cooking and farming equally. Additionally, dwellberry crunchies can be used as a combat training food because it doesn't override experience buffs from other foods. To make 990 crunchies every day for around 40,000 cooking experience, the following setup is needed:

* 135 ash plots for wheat (1080 logs). Farming in Dragonwilds:Stormtouched Highlands removes the need to manually water crops.
* 7 super compost bins for wheat and 700 items that turn into super compost (~70 additional willow plots with 4 additional bins to grow compostable crops)
* 80 oak plots for dwellberries (640 logs)
* At least 30 wheat and 15 dwellberry seeds to get started
* 5-8 compost buckets
* Dragonwilds:Spade and iron secateurs
* 10-15 plant cures every day
* Chests to store tools and bulk goods
* Lodestones
* 3-4 lightning rods if farming in Stormtouched Highlands (recommended to use cliff north of Dragonwilds:Vannaka)
* 10 grills or campfires to cook 10 stacks of dwellberries every night during sleep

* Experience boosts for both skills (cooking ring, knowledgable nourishment, focused cooking potion)

Example route assuming berry bushes have already been grown, 70 willow plots were planted on the previous day and compost is ready from previous cycle:

# Start fertilizing and planting 135 wheat plots in the morning to finish around 5 minutes before night
# Harvest and cure all berry plots
# Check and cure willow plots
# Start 10 grills with 990 dwellberries and sleep
# Check and cure wheat plots
# Harvest 70 willow plots (with xp boosts), plant either pumpkins, watermelons, irit or cadavaberries
# Refill and start all compost bins
# Harvest and cure all berry plots
# Half day break to gather plant cure materials or cook dwellberry crunchies if a big enough stack of ingredients is ready
# Start 10 grills with 990 dwellberries and sleep
# Harvest wheat with experience boosts and repeat from step 1

*Perks: Food perks do NOT stack. Eating another food after consuming a different one overrides its perk(s) with the most recent food eaten. Potions behave like this as well; drinking a new potion will immediately overwrite your active potion buff. While players cannot layer multiple foods or multiple potions, one potion + one food perks can be stacked together simultaneously.

Methods

Buying Redberries with Garou Chits width=60x60

Once the player has access to Umbral Sands and have completed parts of it's main quest, Ictlharin's Little Helper, they get access to Dragonwilds:garou merchants. These merchants offer a direct source of buyable ingredients for Cooking in exchange for Dragonwilds:garou chits. As cooking ingredients on a grill give 10 XP each, we can calculate how many ingredients are required to reach a certain Cooking level.

Based on the previous region, Dragonwilds:Dowdun Reach, players indirectly need level 41 Cooking to complete its main quest, as they need to cook Dragonwilds:maple sap into Syrup. Taking that into consideration, here are the calculations for some level thresholds starting at level 41:

  • 24,084 XP to reach level 50
  • 167,168 XP to reach level 75
  • 431,179 XP to reach level 95
  • 983,490 XP to reach level 99

The cheapest ingredient available, Dragonwilds:redberries, gives 10 XP each and is sold at a rate of 3 garou chits per redberries:

  • ~7,227 garou chits for 2,409 redberries to reach level 50
  • ~50,151 garou chits for 16,717 redberries to reach level 75
  • ~129,354 garou chits for 43,118 redberries to reach level 95
  • ~295,047 garou chits for 98,349 redberries to reach level 99

If the player uses all the best Cooking experience boosts available (Ring, Dragonwilds:Knowledgable Nourishment, and Potion):

  • ~4,812 garou chits for 1,604 redberries to reach level 50
  • ~33,402 garou chits for 11,134 redberries to reach level 75
  • ~86,151 garou chits for 28,717 redberries to reach level 95
  • ~196,503 garou chits for 65,501 redberries to reach level 99

With an empty inventory and the use of the Personal Chest spell, players can buy about 5148 redberries per trip:

  • ~20 trips to buy enough redberries to reach level 99 Cooking without using any experience boosts
  • ~13 trips to buy enough redberries to reach level 99 Cooking with experience boosts
    • About 16 and 11 Dragonwilds:iron chests are needed to contain all the redberries required to achieve level 99 Cooking, respectively.

Dragonwilds:Lodestones prove to be very useful here as they can be built very close to garou merchants.

See Dragonwilds:garou chit for strategies about gathering garou chits.

Dwellberry and redberry crunchies are some of the easiest recipes to make because they use unprocessed wheat and dried berries. Berry bushes can be harvested every day and don't require constant replanting, making this a fairly low effort recipe to obtain ingredients for. 7. Refill and start all compost bins
  8. Harvest and cure all berry plots
  9. Half day break to gather plant cure materials or cook dwellberry crunchies if a big enough stack of ingredients is ready
  10. Start 10 grills with 990 dwellberries and sleep
  11. Harvest wheat with experience boosts and repeat from step 1
