The recipe is learned by consuming the Dragonwilds:an educational blade, found in a chest atop the eastern roof of the church in Dragonwilds:Temple Woods. It can be ascended at the Dragonwilds:mystic forge using Dragonwilds:ascension cores.

Unlike many other ascendable Dragonwilds:vestige and Dragonwilds:masterwork Dragonwilds:weapons and Dragonwilds:armour, this weapon does not have a Dragonwilds:special effect.

This means that when compared to other Dragonwilds:swords like the Dragonwilds:black sword or Dragonwilds:toktz-xil-ak, they will often be the better choices to ascend.
