Java Edition

Template:Main 26.3, the release of Minecraft:Wilderness Bound, is a game drop set to release in September 2026, which adds the Minecraft:dappled forest biome, including Minecraft:red shrubs, Minecraft:shelf mushrooms, Minecraft:wool stairs and slabs, Minecraft:concrete stairs and slabs, Minecraft:straw beds, Minecraft:cushions, and a new Minecraft:abandoned camp structure.

Bedrock Edition

Template:Main 26.60 is a minor update set to release on October 27, 2026, which introduces a native version of Template:BE for the Nintendo Switch 2.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref><ref>Template:Mcnet</ref>

Support for Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals will be included in this release, unlike the original Nintendo Switch version which is backward-compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2.<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref> The render distance will also be increased from 12 to 28 chunks without Vibrant Visuals.

Together with this release, the Minecraft:Super Mario Mash-up, bundled with Nintendo platforms, will be updated for Vibrant Visuals. Additionally, newly purchased Minecraft:Minecoins will no longer be cross-platform available between Nintendo platforms and other platforms.<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref>

A closed beta of this native release has been released for limited players on the Nintendo Switch 2.
