Natural generation
Coarse dirt can be found as large patches in the Minecraft:windswept savanna, Minecraft:wooded badlands, Minecraft:old growth taiga, and Minecraft:dappled forest biomes.
It also generates in mushroom farm rooms in Minecraft:woodland mansions, Minecraft:trail ruins, and Minecraft:abandoned camps.Template:OnlyTemplate:Until
Mob loot

Crafting
Usage
Coarse dirt has the ability to grow Minecraft:saplings, Minecraft:sugar canes, Minecraft:mushrooms, Minecraft:bamboo, Minecraft:flowers, and Minecraft:sweet berries, which can be planted directly under appropriate conditions.
Neither Minecraft:mycelium nor grass can spread onto coarse dirt.
Dirt renewability
