For an easy way to get favor with him, you can simply buy the Life or Death Potion's from the nearby Ichin the Ice Master provided you have his favor level requirement. Alternatively, you can shop the used tab on him for exotic potions players have sold.
Most Carpentry vendor's used tabs will have various carpentry items players have sold to them that you can purchase for favor too.
