Journal

The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

Following certain incidents with cats and crossbow limbs, a superstition began to build in Bramblemead about the danger of crossbows and felines. It was considered bad luck to house a cat in the same home as a crossbow, with reasoning ranging from the safety of the cat, to the safety of the human population should the cats rise up and develop opposable thumbs.

Whilst harmless at first, when the need for crossbows grew due to the conflict with the garou, cats found themselves with fewer and fewer homes willing to house them. Over the years this led to domestic cats being a rare sight in Bramblemead.

It also created a deep-seated resentment in the cats, and they plotted their revenge. Most would tell you that cats had nothing to do with the destruction of Bramblemead and the Brynmoor settlements, yet if you ask a cat, they will simply purr with a sinister grin on their face.
