Template:Infobox block A lilac is a tall Minecraft:flower that can be crafted into magenta dye.

Obtaining

Breaking

A lilac can be broken instantly with any item or by hand, dropping itself.

A lilac also breaks if Minecraft:water or Minecraft:lava runs it over, if a Minecraft:piston extends or pushes a block or its head into it, or if the block under the plant is moved or destroyed. Script error: No such module "breaking row".

Natural generation

Lilacs generate naturally on Minecraft:dirt and grass blocks in the biomes forest, flower forest, birch forest, old growth birch forest, and dark forest biomes as part of vegetation features.

Like other flowers, lilacs can be used as decoration and planted on grass blocks, Minecraft:dirt, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, Minecraft:farmland, Minecraft:podzol, Minecraft:mycelium, moss blocks, Minecraft:mud, or muddy mangrove roots. Like other tall flowers, lilacs cannot be placed inside flower pots.

Placing a lilac into a Minecraft:composter has a 65% chance of raising the compost level by 1. A stack of lilacs yields an average of 5.94 bone meal.
