History

The Aril armor set was designed by the Greycat Industrial engineer and designer StarCitizen:Ruben Pardue in the StarCitizen:24th Century. It was designed to help workers in the StarCitizen:Uriel tunnel collapse by incorporating new safety features and advanced alloy plating. It was his first design in his career at the company and had set the standard for Greycat products going forward. It had become a huge success and remains a bestseller for Greycat today, with only minimal changes made to Pardue's classic concept.<ref name="cl16902">Template:Cite RSI</ref>

Development

The Aril armor set is the first industrial medium armor set and the first armor set from the manufacturer Greycat Industrial. The design is influenced by the existing StarCitizen:Pyro RYT Multi-Tool.<ref>Inside Star Citizen: Armor Bearer | Spring 2021 on YouTube</ref> It is introduced in Alpha 3.14.0.<ref name="ingame3140"/>
