StarCitizen:Jenk Gallen

Jenk Gallen (born 2903-12-8 SET Lady of Mercy, StarCitizen:Tram on StarCitizen:Asura, StarCitizen:Ferron System) is a freelance hauler. He is known for being arrested by the StarCitizen:Xi'an (August 2943 - November 2943), which lead to diplomatic tensions between UEE and Xi'an in StarCitizen:2943.

Early life

Gallen was born in the slums of Tram. His parents are unknown.<ref name="ReferenceA"></ref><ref name="ReferenceB"></ref> Gallen was sold to local slumlord called StarCitizen:Carlo Yenn before 2912.<ref name="ReferenceB"/> He worked for him as a drug runner from 2912 until Yenn doedunder unknown cirumstances.<ref name="ReferenceB"/> During this time, he became addicted to a drug called StarCitizen:WiDoW.

In his criminal career he served 10 years (in total) for assault and burglary in prisons on Ferron, Davien and Croshaw before 2930. He did not achieveStarCitizen:Equivalency during his early life. He had no charges after his last parole in 2930.<ref name="ReferenceA" />

Following this period of his life he made a "turnaround" an became "a devout member of the StarCitizen:Fourth Sun Unity Church" and worked as a "ground-loader while attempting to complete his Equivalency".<ref name="ReferenceB" /> He met StarCitizen:Ada Sinclair (somewhere between 2930 - 2934), possibly a educational aide at his local school <ref name="ReferenceB" /> and Equivalency counsellor.<ref name="ReferenceA" /> He successfully passed his Equivalency in 2934 and subsequently worked as a freelance hauler and contract pilot.<ref name="ReferenceA" /><ref name="ReferenceB" /> He married Ada Sinclair some time before 2934.

Diplomatic Incident

Arrest

Gallen was arrested by StarCitizen:Xi'an authorities on suspicion of espionage in August 2943.<ref name="ReferenceA" /> StarCitizen:Xi'an Diplomat StarCitizen:Torsi Leelk refused initial demands by Imperator Costigan to set Gallen free.<ref></ref> The circumstances of Gallen's alleged crimes are not publicly known, but it is possible that he was part of (or at least, believed by the Xi'an to be part of) an attempt to contact the StarCitizen:Kr’Thak.<ref></ref>

Aftermath

Operation Scimitar

Operation Scimitar was an operation launched by the Advocacy to fight criminality in UEE systems close to the Xi'an. It was a direct reaction of the incident. The operation was intended as a demonstration of strength, rather than fighting against crime. It was personally approved by Imperator Costigan, High-Secretary Sharrad and High-Advocate Upshaw. Thomas D. Carmody, Director of the Advocacy said in an internal message: We want your agents to sweep their territories [the border systems to the Xi'an]. I want a full crackdown on any open bounties or outstanding warrants."<ref name="robertsspaceindustries.com"></ref>

UEE Military

The StarCitizen:UEE Navy reassigned their border forces to Magnus for war simulations.<ref name="robertsspaceindustries.com"/>

Other Reactions

Host of Clean Shot, StarCitizen:Craig Burton expressed his solidarity to Gallen, calling him a "friend of the show".<ref></ref><ref name=":0"></ref>

Negotiation and Release

In November 2943, StarCitizen:High-Secretary StarCitizen:Illyana Sharrad, Xi'an Diplomat StarCitizen:Torsi Leelk and StarCitizen:Attle Heehth, High Council Advisor to StarCitizen:Emperor Kr.ē met on the former StarCitizen:Perry Line world of StarCitizen:Yethlūl S.yen'o (formerly known as Hadur III), ostensibly to view the new efforts to terraform the world and to discuss economic collaboration. After a closed door session, it was announced that Gallen would be released.<ref name=":0" />
