Minecraft:Maze of the Minotaur (episode)

Summary

In front of the Minecraft:Maze of the Minotaur, Durango tells his friends that they need to reach the end of the maze to collect the final enchanted ender eye and claim the ultimate treasure. Quinn immediately stops him and tells him that they are here to save their friends, and River suggests either splitting up or sticking together. Then, CommuniKate spots Zed digging through the ground, and Durango relieves her that he will catch up once they reach the end of the maze.

Once there, Durango orders his friends to follow him through the maze, encountering two dead ends in the process. Quinn then tells her friends to follow her instead before she encounters an Athens creeper, which she manages to defeat. Soon, the team gets outnumbered by multiple Athens creepers, and decide to scatter to flee from them.

Along the way, Durango encounters a creeper that explodes on a wall, leaving behind a hole which inspires him to take a shortcut. He then taunts another creeper so that it causes another hole. Meanwhile, as Quinn fights a horde of creepers, she asks her friends about any weapons they have. CommuniKate only has her microphone, while River and Toby tell her that Theseus gifted them items in their cause only to pull out fish from their inventories. Soon, Durango calls his friends to his shortcut through the walls and they follow him, being chased by creepers in the process.

After reaching the end of the maze, the team is overwhelmed by creepers trying to enter, but Durango manages to scare them away using a series of battle cries. However, CommuniKate tells him that the creepers were actually afraid of the Minotaur who came out of his lair. Soon, a cyclops jumps from a wall and Cerberus descends from the sky to join him. As the team feels overwhelmed by them and Durango describes the fight as legendary, Zed digs a deep ditch under the Minotaur and the cyclops who immediately fall in, and Cerberus flies away in fear. Soon, Zed comes out and, according to Durango, he dug through the maze to get there more easily. The team then enters the lair and claims the final enchanted ender eye before being teleported by Poseidon to the main island.

There, Poseidon congratulates the team for collecting all five enchanted ender eyes before time ran out, dropping his Minecraft:hourglass to the ground. Before he announces the grand prize, Quinn stops him to tell him the only prize she wants is her friends being free. Durango also stops her because of his eagerness to find out the prize. To reveal his reward, Poseidon takes away all the enchanted ender eyes and tells his players that the eyes' prize is making him more powerful than his brother Zeus. He also tells them that their only prize is being swallowed by the Kraken, teleporting them to a sand pillar next to it. In an interview, Durango says that it was the "worst prize ever".
