A spore blossom is a ceiling-hanging decorative block that generates in Minecraft:lush caves and emits green Minecraft:particles.
Obtaining
Breaking
Spore blossoms can be broken instantly with any Minecraft:item or by hand. Harvesting a spore blossom with Minecraft:shears consumes the Minecraft:durability of the shears for no additional benefit. Template:Breaking row
Natural generation
Spore blossoms can be found only on the ceilings of Minecraft:lush caves.
Usage
Spore blossoms can be placed only on the underside of any block except Minecraft:leaves.
They emit two kinds of particles: one falling straight downwards, disappearing after falling up to 70 blocks; the other spawn within a 21x12x21 area extending downwards from the block, floating around in the air, spreading further away as they slowly fall down.
Bees
Minecraft:Bees engage in a pollinating behavior with spore blossoms, increasing the honey level in Minecraft:beehives and Minecraft:bee nests by 1.
Breeding
Spore blossoms can be used to Minecraft:breed, grow, and lead Minecraft:bees.
Bee nests
Minecraft:Oak, Minecraft:birch, and Minecraft:cherry trees grown from Minecraft:saplings that are within 2 blocks of a spore blossom have a 5% chance to grow with a Minecraft:bee nest and 2-3 Minecraft:bees in it.
Composting
Spore blossoms can be put into a Minecraft:composter with a 65% chance of raising the compost level by 1.
