As a result, the stack size of item entities is now ignored: for example, dropping a [[Minecraft:stick]] item and a [[Minecraft:dirt]] item on top of a [[Minecraft:light weighted pressure plate]] now results in a higher output signal compared to dropping a full stack of [[Minecraft:sand]] on it (previously, the opposite would've been the case). Template:Infobox block A light weighted pressure plate is a type of Minecraft:pressure plate that produces a Minecraft:redstone signal while one or more Minecraft:entities stand on it. Depending on how many entities are detected, the outputted Minecraft:signal strength will range from 1 to 15.
Obtaining
Breaking
A light weighted pressure plate can be mined with anything, but Minecraft:pickaxes are the fastest. A light weighted pressure plate also breaks and drops itself if a Minecraft:piston extends or pushes a block into its location, or if the block under the pressure plate is moved or destroyed. Activation
Light weighted pressure plates can be activated by most entities (including players, mobs, items, arrows, experience orbs, fishing bobs, etc.) and emit a redstone Minecraft:signal strength that is equal to the amount of entities on top of them, up to a maximum power level of 15. Certain entities, however (such as Minecraft:players in Minecraft:spectator mode and Minecraft:markers), cannot activate them nor keep them activated.
Template:IN, Minecraft:Item Frames and Minecraft:glow item frames cannot activate light weighted pressure plates but they can still keep them activated.<ref>This behavior can be observed by placing an item frame inside of a light weighted pressure plate and then stepping on it: the pressure plate doesn't revert to its inactive state even after the player steps off.</ref>
The signal strength from a light weighted pressure plate does not vary with the type of entity. 15 mobs will produce the same signal strength as 15 different items. Note the light weighted pressure plate counts entities, not the quantity of items, generally leading to one entity count per stack of items. For more information see item entity behavior.
Distracting piglins
Minecraft:Piglins are attracted towards light weighted pressure plates, run toward any light weighted pressure plates on the ground, and inspect them for 6 to 8 seconds before putting them in their Minecraft:inventory slot. During this time, the piglin does not attack nearby players, even if they are not wearing gold armor.
