Template:For Template:Infobox block
Sculk is a Minecraft:block found abundantly in the Minecraft:deep dark or converted from other blocks by a Minecraft:sculk catalyst. Like most of the rest of the Minecraft:sculk family, it drops Minecraft:experience when broken by a Minecraft:tool.
Obtaining
Breaking
The suitable tool to break sculk is any type of Minecraft:hoe.
Template:Breaking row
Sculk drops 1 Minecraft:experience when it's destroyed using a tool without Minecraft:Silk Touch.
Sculk drops itself when it's destroyed using a tool with Silk Touch.
Natural generation
Sculk naturally generates in patch formations in the Minecraft:deep dark biome or any Minecraft:sculk patches.
Generated loot
Post-generation
Sculk blocks generate when a mob dies within 8 blocks of a Minecraft:sculk catalyst, replacing blocks in the area with the sculk_replaceable Minecraft:tag, which includes the surface blocks of most biomes in all three dimensions:
Usage
Sculk blocks are primarily used for decoration. They have an animated texture that consists of glowing spots, but they do not illuminate the surroundings. It has a similar texture of an end portal viewed from above.
Sculk spreading and growth
Sculk, when connected to sculk catalysts, is used to grow a patch of sculk. See Minecraft:sculk catalyst for more details.
