Mangostone logo

Mangostone is a creative workshop set up by Tony Tarquini and Laurens Nockels in 2017. After spending over 25 years working in the film and television industries making props, sets and models, art directing and project managing they decided it was time to start a company of their own.<ref>who we are, mangostone.org</ref>

They are known among many other things for making weapon props for motion pictures. They worked among others on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, making stormtrooper armors and weapons.<ref name=":0" />

Work with Cloud Imperium Games

They worked with Cloud Imperium Games since 2023 on the Manchester Studio, doing mannequins, armor sets, helmets, 3 major ship models for display at the CIG Manchester offices: a Gladius model, a Bengal model, and a Retaliator model.<ref>"We've ben working for Cloud Imperium Games since 2023 making a series of full sized characters and scale model spacecraft, from the game Star Citizen.", Laurens Nockels , SciFi Models Group, facebook, 2025-03-25</ref><ref name=":0" />

Mangostone also made the StarCitizen:Anvil F7A Hornet Mk II DA-2965-WB display for StarCitizen:CitizenCon 2024.<ref name=":0">CitizenCon 2954: Day One [Full Broadcast], Star Citizen, YouTube, 2024-10-19</ref> They spent 14 weeks putting it together, 6 weeks of concept and 8 weeks of build time, making it their largest build.<ref>"Here’s a little something we’ve been working on recently….", @manstone, Instagram, 2024-10-20</ref><ref name=":0" /> While the Hornet Mk II is 75 feet by 75 feet, the model at CitizenCon is 50 feet by 50 feet, roughly the same size as an F16.<ref name=":0" /> It is equipped with an Apocalypse Arms Revenant.<ref name=":0" />
