Meridian Transit is a StarCitizen:human passenger and commercial transportation [[StarCitizen::Category:Companies|company]] based on StarCitizen:Crusader in the StarCitizen:Stanton system. It manages a large fleet of StarCitizen:Crusader Industries Genesis-class ships on scheduled flights around the StarCitizen:United Empire of Earth (UEE). Meridian has also been licensed for limited operations between the UEE and the StarCitizen:Xi'an Empire, with a regular route to StarCitizen:Xōl'uu.<ref name="galactapedia">Template:Cite RSI</ref> Several in-game billboards feature the company logo.

Development

Meridian Transit was created from an idea by StarCitizen:Ben Lesnick to promote the StarCitizen:Genesis Starliner. Jared Huckaby created the dialogue, the initial name, and the logo before the writing team renamed it.<ref name=":0">The Friday Night Show Interview: Jared Huckaby, The Base radio, October 17th, 2015</ref><ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_x1KxC4-QR8</ref> The logo was inspired by Back to the Future and Lego Space.<ref name=":0" />
