Minecraft:Mannequin

Template:Distinguish Template:Exclusive Template:Infobox entity Mannequins are Minecraft:mob-like Minecraft:entities that resemble a Minecraft:player's avatar without having a connected player.

Spawning

Mannequins are spawned only with commands such as Template:Cmd. They neither spawn naturally nor have an associated Minecraft:spawn egg.

Drops

On death

Mannequins do not drop any Minecraft:items or Minecraft:experience upon death.

Behavior

Mannequins function like a player avatar, even if the player is not connected. They can hold items in their hands, wear Minecraft:armor, take damage, and have attributes and effects. Unlike Minecraft:players, they cannot pick up items, though they can have items placed into their hands or armor slots with commands. Armor can also be equipped on them via Minecraft:dispenser.

Minecraft:Vindicators named "Johnny" attack mannequins, but other hostile mobs do not.

Models match those of players, with the specific exception of Minecraft:deadmau5, whose ears do not render.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>

Unlike player avatars, mannequins do not take damage when outside the Minecraft:world border.

    • Valid entries: standing, crouching, swimming, fall_flying, sleeping
  • Template:Nbt - Optional boolean specifying that the mannequin cannot be moved (defaults to false).
  • Template:NbtTemplate:NbtTemplate:Nbt - Optional Minecraft:text component shown where a Minecraft:Player's below_name score would show.
    • The default "NPC" (entity.minecraft.mannequin.label) text is shown if omitted.
  • Template:Nbt - Optional boolean specifying that no description should be shown at all.
    • A mannequin with the description hidden displays as if a Minecraft:Player had no below_name display.
