Template:Infobox item Gunpowder is an item used for Minecraft:explosion-related recipes, and as an ingredient in potions to create Minecraft:splash potions.

Template:Drop sources Template:IN, Minecraft:wandering traders have a chance of 8.5% (increased by 1% per level of Minecraft:Looting) to drop 4 gunpowder when killed while showing the item as trade offer, if the player holds an Minecraft:emerald.

Creeper farms, ghast farms and witch farms are all efficient ways of obtaining gunpowder automatically or semi-automatically. However, in Minecraft:Bedrock Edition, creeper farms stop working after a few hours.
