Template:Infobox effect Infested is a Minecraft:status effect that causes an Minecraft:entity to sometimes spawn Minecraft:silverfish upon taking damage.

Effect

Infested entities have a 10% chance to spawn 1–2 silverfish when hurt. The silverfish spawn at the center of the affected entity's Minecraft:bounding box, and fling out in the direction the entity is facing. The damage source does not necessarily need to reduce the health of the affected entity.<ref>Template:Bug</ref> For example, a Minecraft:snow golem's snowball may trigger a silverfish spawn. The quantity and chance of silverfish spawning are unaffected by the potency level of the potion. Entities with the Infested effect emit gray, silverfish-shaped particles.

Immune mobs

Minecraft:Withers, Minecraft:ender dragons, and Minecraft:silverfish are immune to Infested.
Minecraft:Creakings that spawn from Minecraft:creaking hearts are unaffected by Infested.
