Minecraft:Ostrich

The ostrich was a proposed mob that was featured in the Biome Chooser at Minecraft:MINECON Earth 2018, alongside the Minecraft:termite, Minecraft:meerkat and Minecraft:fox. It was a large bird mob that would spawn in savannas with termites. It could also dig its head into the ground, referencing a common misconception about ostriches.<ref>Template:Citation</ref>

It, along with the rest of the biome, made it to the second round with 27.6%, but lost with 34.7%.

Trivia

• Sprites of ostriches appeared as an easter egg in the Minecraft:2022 Mob Vote Event and the Minecraft:2023 Mob Vote Event server.
