Multiplayer Test refers to 38 versions of Minecraft:Java Edition Classic released between May 31 and July 11, 2009. As the name suggests, these versions were released mainly to implement and develop Minecraft:multiplayer.
Multiplayer Test proper concluded on June 8, 2009, with multiplayer being officially released by Notch,<ref>Template:Twon</ref> and versions being then released onto what was the main game page ([[Minecraft::/play.jsp]]) instead of on a separate /mptest page.

- Minecraft:Sponges
- They were a temporary fix to stop water from flooding until finite water was implemented
- They soaked up water in a 5×5×5 volume around it.
- Minecraft:Glass
- Minecraft:Wool (Labeled as "Cloth" in this version)
- Colors include aqua-green, black, blue, cyan, green, gray, indigo, lime, magenta, orange, pink, purple, red, violet, white, and yellow.
