VFG Industrial is a StarCitizen:human spacecraft hangar manufacturer that produces personal hangars designed for extreme environments. A wholly owned subsidiary of ArcCorp, VFG Industrial adapts asteroid mining techniques to hangar construction, allowing it to bury well-equipped hangars deep inside large asteroids and other planetoids. The company maintains a unit of zero gravity workers and invests heavily in advanced excavation equipment.<ref name="galactapedia">Template:Cite RSI</ref>
History
VFG Industrial was founded by StarCitizen:Tom Vivien, StarCitizen:Walter Fink, and StarCitizen:Ulla Gandil, all members of the StarCitizen:UEE Army Corp of Engineers who specialized in building pressurized landing zones in combat zones. After being discharged, they founded VFG Industrial to bring their expertise to the civilian market. Believing there was demand for functional, well-crafted hangars in non-ideal conditions, they were proven correct when clients came in droves. The Army then sued them for patent theft, claiming that VFG's business was built upon proprietary design briefs owned by the Army. VFG attempted to fight the lawsuit but began to run out of resources. StarCitizen:ArcCorp became interested in the firm's hangar building methods and took over its defense. Fink refused to sell to the MegaCorp, but Vivien and Gandil concluded they had no choice. The three agreed to sell, and ArcCorp's lawyers managed to hamstring the Army's case. Fink took a substantial buyout and left the firm, while Vivien and Gandil remained on the board, though control shifted to ArcCorp.<ref>Template:Cite game</ref>
