26.3 Snapshot 8 (known as 26.3-snapshot-8 in the Minecraft:launcher) is the eighth Minecraft:snapshot for Minecraft:Java Edition 26.3, released on August 12, 2026,<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref> which adds invite codes for Minecraft:Realms, renames a few Minecraft:explorer maps, and fixes bugs.
Additions
General
- Realms owners can now create invite codes to their Realm.
- Up to 5 invite codes are allowed.
- They can be configured to be either active or inactive.
- Expiration of the invite code can be configured.
- Players can now join Realms by entering an invite code in the new "Join Realm" screen.

Minecraft:Concrete slabs and stairs
- Can now be obtained by cutting Minecraft:concrete in a Minecraft:stonecutter.
- They now break faster when using Minecraft:hoe.
- Are now immediately placed right after Minecraft:beds in Minecraft:creative inventory.

- Renamed the following explorer maps:
- Abandoned Campsite Map → Abandoned Camp Map
- Ancient City Map → Buried Ancient City Map

Gameplay
- New villager trades, unlocked from a villager leveling up their profession, will now update even if the player has the trading UI open.
General
- The Minecraft:pack format version is now Template:Cd.
- Some further improvements have been made to the World Options screen, which is now accessible from the pause menu.
- The "Game Mode" button has been renamed to "Default Game Mode"
- The "General" section has a new addition:
- Personal Game Mode: the player's active game mode in the current world (equivalent to the Template:Cmd command, or Template:Keys)
- The "Multiplayer" section has a new addition:
- Force Game Mode: controls whether other players game mode is forced to match the default game mode of the world or not.
Order-independent Transparency (OIT)
- Template:Cd shader define was removed since the see-through text it was used for is now rendered in a separate pass outside OIT.
- The version is now Template:Cd.
- Removed core shaders
- Template:Cd and Template:Cd were removed and text background in Text Display Entities is now rendered using the text shaders.
