[[Dragonwilds:Abyssal demon]]s are foul beasts. A single specimen can massacre a village before the warning bell can even sound. Crafting a weapon from their remains symbolises triumph against adversity or, perhaps, just hubris in its purest form.
We've all heard of it. We've all wanted it... the Legendary Abyssal Whip! The fabled weapon that heroes and adventurers have been seeking for an age!

Infused with the hate of the demon, each whip crack generates unbearable pain. Victims find themselves overcome with suffering as the agony seeps into the wounds the whips leave behind.
You have taken it one step further. You have asked the question, "How hard could it be to make your own?". All you need is a spine from an Abyssal Demon! It comes pre-segmented and it's made from some of the hardiest organic material known to mortalkind. You just need to kill the demon, twist the shoulder, sever a tendon, and Io - your very own Abyssal Whip... right? Wrong.

It is said that the whip even feeds on that misery, growing stronger with each strike, each life taken. The hate imbues the weapon with a desire to inflict more pain, and it grows stronger each time such a wish is granted. Or, so the legends say.
Turns out, it's a bit more involved than you expected, and this "weapon" demonstrates that all too well.

Only one [[Dragonwilds:wild knight]] has ever chosen to wield the whip in vengeance against a demon for a fallen sibling. Her name is dust in the wind of history, but there are still creatures that hide in the shadows, afraid of the crack of her whip.
Still, not all is lost. Perhaps there is a way, a method, to turn this... "thing" into something that lives up to it's legend.

Template:Infobox Item The abysmal whip is a Dragonwilds:power level 4 one-handed Dragonwilds:masterwork melee weapon that can be created at a Dragonwilds:blacksmith's bench. The recipe can be acquired from the Dragonwilds:Kletterbuja Kara Dragonwilds:vault by interacting with a dragonkin statue clutching a blue orb, and hidden within a concealed alcove on the upper floor, near the ledge-jumping path, provided players have the Dragonwilds:abyssal spine that is dropped by an Dragonwilds:abyssal demon in the player's inventory. It can be ascended at a Dragonwilds:mystic forge with Dragonwilds:ascension cores.

This weapon's Dragonwilds:special effect is that regular attacks also build up Dragonwilds:bleed, and after five rapid hits, will proc 28 damage at Dragonwilds:power level 4 and 40 damage at Dragonwilds:power level 7, despite only listing 25 for each. As this weapon deals slash damage, compared to swords, it attacks are slightly slower but slightly harder, however its forward lunge distance is much shorter, and since enemies are knocked back significantly by most attacks, they will be often be knocked out of this weapon's combos. It also does not have increased block without a shield compared to other similar weapons.
