Usage

Speed

Swift Sneak increases the player's Minecraft:sneaking speed by 15% of their walking speed per level. At Swift Sneak III, the player's sneaking speed equals 75% of their normal walking speed. Swift Sneak IV and V can further increase this, but the sneaking speed can never be greater than the walking speed.

This enchantment also increases the player's movement speed while they are Minecraft:crawling.

It also has an effect in Minecraft:water, but is still slower movement than regularly walking underwater. This holds true even when combined with Minecraft:depth strider, another enchantment upon Minecraft:boots for Minecraft:swimming which further increases underwater walking speed.

Player's crouching speed compared to walking speed

Enchantment level	Percent of walking speed
No Swift Sneak	30%
Swift Sneak I	45%
Swift Sneak II	60%
Swift Sneak III	75%
Swift Sneak IV<ref group="note" name="note1">Exclusive to commands.</ref>	90%
Swift Sneak V+<ref group="note" name="note1" />	100%
