As the years passed and Guthix introduced runes, the mixture was replaced with subtle enchantments, though the appearance was kept the same for tradition’s sake.<br><br>Naturally, many practitioners of magic preferred this armour because of its darker aesthetic. Indeed, many rogue “dark wizards” would don this armour and use magic to engage in sinister undertakings, earning this armour’s moniker a more sinister meaning.
