Calliope is a moon orbiting microTech. It is named after the ancient Greek muse who inspires eloquence.
Beset by high winds and low temperatures, Calliope becomes so cold at night that even exceptionally insulated weather suits can fail. The dark side of this moon is a dangerous one, even to the most experienced adventurer. Low clouds and ground fog regularly reduce surface visibility to a minimum.<ref>Script error: No such module "Cite RSI".</ref>
Atmosphere
Due to Calliope's extremely low temperatures, environmental survival gear is an absolute requirement for all surface activity. However, pressure suits can easily replenish their air supply from the moon's oxygen-rich atmosphere.

Trivia
In Greek mythology, Calliope is the Muse who presides over eloquence and epic poetry; so called from the ecstatic harmony of her voice. Hesiod and Ovid called her the "Chief of all Muses". Template:WP
