The Meteor is a medium fighter variant of the StarCitizen:Mantis series of ships, developed by StarCitizen:Roberts Space Industries. Equipped with formidable weaponry, the Meteor presents a daunting challenge for adversaries. Drawing influence from the legendary Mantis, this medium fighter opts out of quantum enforcement, incorporating instead two custom S5 ballistic cannons and four single-load S4 missile racks, thereby establishing the Meteor as a powerful entity capable of illuminating the sky akin to a shooting star.<ref name=MeteorStore></ref><ref name=MeteorLaunch></ref>

Classification and Role

While the Meteor is classified as a medium fighter, it differs from its other medium contemporaries by possessing traits normally found in several different classifications: The Meteor has the armament and interior normally found in a heavy fighter, the flight performance of a medium interceptor, and the hull strength and shielding of a light fighter.<ref name=":0"></ref>

In comparison to other medium fighters, the Meteor excels in straight-line performance and lacks in maneuverability and staying power, optimised for the task of achieving victory in the first strike.<ref name="MeteorLaunch" /><ref name=":0" />
