Development=The Terrapin was developed in 2796 to serve as the first ship in the Empire's defensive restructuring of the Navy. It was also the first full production ship that StarCitizen:Anvil Aerospace had fabricated under direct Naval contract. It was developed in an Anvil plant located in StarCitizen:Nova Kyiv, Terra under lead designer StarCitizen:J.Harris Arnold and lead engineer StarCitizen:Allegra Wilsing.<ref name="brochure" />

- The ship is named after the species Terrapin which encompass a variety of small turtle species that inhabit freshwater or brackish environments.
