Journal
Although the name may be sinister, the robes and the people who wear them are not automatically evil.
The most infamous dark wizards became a fairytale for the people of Brynmoor, a cautionary tale about greed and the desire for power. They sought power in the darkest of places, and it turned them into something monstrous.
They appeared in the village in the dead of night as twisted versions of themselves—mindless creatures infused with a shadowy essence. Those who found themselves in their path had their lives ripped out of them until nought but an empty husk remained.
It took all the visiting Wild Knights to take them down. Arrow after arrow, spell after spell, the task seemed almost insurmountable until the light of the sun made the creatures vulnerable. In their death throws, it was as if some horrible chill fell across the world as if a door somewhere had been opened into somewhere it shouldn’t.
