Template:External Template:Infobox Item Ectoplasm is a basic material dropped by Spirits such as Dragonwilds:Lost Souls or acquired by processing three Dragonwilds:Withered Hearts in a Dragonwilds:Kiln. It may be beneficial for players to kill Lost Souls instead of Dragonwilds:Rotsworn enemies because the beginning stages of being Soul Rifted include Power Level 2 Dragonwilds:Lost Souls spawning instead of Power Level 5 Rotsworn Skeletons, making it easier to receive Ectoplasm. If going this route, quickly escape out of the Soul Rift by being near a Dragonwilds:Purification Pool whilst in the Soul Rift process.

 In truth, ectoplasm is none of these. It’s the outer shell of a soul, the skin more or less, and acts as a sort of lubrication between the flesh and the spirit. Tiny bits of reality combine with the immaterial otherness of the underworld and congeal into a sort of spiritual mixture that ghosts and other undead find incredible useful.
