Gameplay
Minecraft Reality allowed users to use its website to upload their own creations inside the app. These models could then be found in the app, among creations from other users. Using the "Place a creation" button, the app used the device's camera to place 3D models into the real world using Template:W (AR), similarly to Minecraft:Minecraft Earth. Additionally, players could share a screenshot using the camera button in the bottom middle corner of the app.
Development
Minecraft Reality utilized features from the "PointCloud SDK" library, along with SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) to track 3D spaces.<ref>Template:Cite</ref><ref>Template:Cite</ref> Both technologies were developed by 13th Lab.
System requirements
Minecraft Reality required iOS 5.0 or higher, and iPhone 4 or higher, iPad 2 Wi-Fi or higher, or iPod touch (4th generation) or higher.<ref name=:1/>
Template:W has reported the iPod touch 4G and older devices not being supported, and "most functionality" not being available on the iPhone 4.<ref name=theverge/>
