The StarCitizen:Esperia Stinger is a human-made replica of the StarCitizen:Vanduul StarCitizen:Stinger. The original Vanduul heavy fighter - designated as 'Stinger' by the StarCitizen:United Empire of Earth Navy - has established a notorious reputation for causing significant disruption along the borders of Humanity and as a formidable danger to both pilots and capital ships. 2014-02-20	The ship was first seen as part of a Vanduul ship size chart released by CIG.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>
2015-05-24	It was unintentionally seen again as part of a series of ships that was leaked to the internet when a CIG video inadvertently revealed a URL containing the ship model files.
2019-12-25	An updated design was first shown during the Squadron 42: 2019 Visual Teaser video.
2024-10-20	The updated design was once more presented in the Squadron 42: CitizenCon 2954 Live Gameplay Reveal video
2025-10-16	Stinger was launched as a flyable ship in Alpha 4.3.2.
