A sequel to Minecraft: The Island, it was published by Template:W on March 2, 2021.<ref name=MCTheMountain>Minecraft: The Mountain by Max Brooks</ref> An audiobook was released the same day, with narration provided by Template:W.<ref name=MCTheMountain/> To promote the book, an official adventure map was released for Template:El, made by Blockception.
A sequel, Minecraft: The Village, was released on October 17, 2023.
