Obtaining
Breaking
Shelf mushrooms can be broken instantly with any tool or by hand. A shelf mushroom also breaks if:
- the block it is attached to is moved or destroyed.
- Minecraft:water or Minecraft:lava flows into its space.
- a Minecraft:piston tries to push it or moves a block into its space.
A shelf mushroom always drops itself when broken. If the shelf mushroom is large, 2 units are dropped. Template:Breaking row
Natural generation
Both small and large shelf mushrooms generate attached to poplar logs in Minecraft:dappled forests, on both standing and Minecraft:fallen trees.
Trading
Minecraft:Wandering traders may sell 3 shelf mushrooms for 1 Minecraft:emerald.
Post-generation
Template:Exclusive Template:IN, Minecraft:poplar trees grown from Minecraft:poplar saplings can generate with shelf mushrooms attached to the log. This is not the case Template:In.
