Template:In development Template:Infobox block A shelf mushroom is a variety of Minecraft:fungus that grows on Minecraft:poplar trees. It comes in two sizes and is bouncy when fallen on by entities.
Obtaining
Breaking
Shelf mushrooms can be broken instantly with any tool or by hand. A shelf mushroom also breaks if:
- the block it is attached to is moved or destroyed.
- Minecraft:water or Minecraft:lava flows into its space.
- a Minecraft:piston tries to push it or moves a block into its space.
A shelf mushroom always drops itself when broken. If the shelf mushroom is large, 2 units are dropped. Template:Breaking row
Natural generation
Both small and large shelf mushrooms generate attached to poplar logs in Minecraft:dappled forests, on both standing and Minecraft:fallen trees.
Trading
Minecraft:Wandering traders may sell 3 shelf mushrooms for 1 Minecraft:emerald.
Post-generation
Minecraft:Poplar trees grown from Minecraft:poplar saplings can generate with shelf mushrooms attached to the logs.
Usage
Shelf mushrooms can be attached to any block with a full side surface. Unlike red and Minecraft:brown mushrooms, shelf mushrooms do not have any light level requirement for placement and survival.
Bouncing
Entities landing on shelf mushrooms bounce with 75% of the impact velocity; however, the entity still takes Minecraft:fall damage, similar to Minecraft:beds. The entity's fall distance is set to 50% of the actual distance fallen, which results in the entity taking slightly less than half of the normal fall damage.
Growing
Minecraft:Bone meal can be Template:Control on a small shelf mushroom to grow it into a large shelf mushroom. Shelf mushrooms do not grow on their own.
