+The Moon Garou believe this weapon was given to them by a goddess of the river, who took the desperate garou and raised them up to become masters of the desert sands. The weapon was created as a  tool against one of the deadliest denizens of the dunes – the kalphites.
+The blade tip can find its way through the chinks in the Kalphite exoskeleton, piercing through the chitinous armour and damaging the much squishier flesh beneath. It was turned many a battle against the Kalphites from a garou bloodbath, to a garou victory banquet – though they  tend to find the Kalphite meat a little less appetising then they’d like.
+Moon Garou champions are gifted the Keris dagger after achieving a great victory. It is a symbol of their bravery and marks them as skilled warriors to all the other tribes. In olden times, a bearer of the Keris would be treated with great respect. They would be given food, lodging and anything else they needed to further their victories.
+Nowadays, however, the Keris is seen more as a tool of survival against the insectoid foe.
