Template:Infobox item Pottery sherds<ref group="note">The word "sherd" or "potsherd" is used by archaeologists to refer to fragments of pottery or other ceramics in order to differentiate them from "shards" of glass, metal, minerals and other materials.</ref> are Minecraft:items with 23 variants used to craft Minecraft:decorated pots with ornamental designs. Pottery sherds are found in Minecraft:trial chambers, Minecraft:suspicious sand, and Minecraft:suspicious gravel.

There are 23 pottery sherds: Template:Columns-list

Obtaining

Breaking

When a Minecraft:decorated pot is broken with a Minecraft:pickaxe, Minecraft:axe, Minecraft:shovel, Minecraft:hoe, Minecraft:sword, Minecraft:mace, or Minecraft:trident that is not enchanted with Minecraft:Silk Touch, it drops all of the pottery sherds and Minecraft:bricks used to craft it. If it is broken with your fist or tools enchanted with Silk Touch the pot itself will drop.

Generated loot

Pottery sherds can be found as Minecraft:suspicious sand or Minecraft:suspicious gravel loot in Minecraft:trail ruins, Minecraft:ocean ruins, Minecraft:desert pyramids, and Minecraft:desert wells, and can be extracted from these blocks using a Minecraft:brush.

Natural generation

Minecraft:Decorated pots with scrape, flow, and guster pottery sherds on their sides naturally generate in Minecraft:trial chambers. For a randomly generated pot in trial chambers, there is Template:Frac chance for each sherd respectively, that a pot has one of these sherds.
