Template:External Template:Infobox Item Rune Essence can be gathered by mining rune essence stones surrounding the geysers around Dragonwilds:Ashenfall. Some spawn with rocks on the ground that you can easily gather from. The floating rocks require being hit (most easily with an arrow or an attack from a staff), and they will then fall to the ground to be mined. Alternatively, players can cast Dragonwilds:Rocksplosion whilst aiming at the floating rocks and can collect rune essence without affecting the Dragonwilds:pickaxe's durability.
Collecting rune essence in their inventory for the first time unlocks the Dragonwilds:Rune Altar.
