Skills are attributes that Dragonwilds:players can train by performing various actions. The skills in RuneScape: Dragonwilds are all based on skills from RuneScape.
Skills can be trained up to level 99 by gaining experience, with each level unlocking a small bonus or a new spell related to that skill.

Trivia
- When the game launched into Early Access, there were only nine skills available in the game.
- Inside the game's file there are two unannounced skills that has not been removed as of today, those are Defence and Thieving.
- Prior to the release of Dragonwilds:Dowdun Reach, the skill cap for most skills was level 50.
- The only skill that had a different skill cap was Farming at 65.
- Any experience gained past this level cap (at the time) was used to increase the maximum experience cap by 100,000,000 + n XP.
- On Dragonwilds:29 January Dragonwilds:2026, Jagex revealed that, with the increase capacity to level 99 in all skills, it would allow them to backfill in extra content while growing the world of the game.
- On Dragonwilds:15 May Dragonwilds:2026, Jagex revealed that they are moving the Agility Skill up to July 2026 and putting Prayer to after the conclusion of Kuldra's Saga.
