Template:EventPanel Template:Stub Template:For Siege of Orison is a co-operative encounter where players are tasked with liberating StarCitizen:Orison floating platforms from occupation by members of the StarCitizen:Nine Tails gang and their commander StarCitizen:Mendo Ren.
Stages
Players must travel to three separate floating platforms sequentially and disable IFF inverter devices installed by the Nine Tails.
Stage 0: Arriving On-site
Players reach the staging area by boarding a shuttle at Inspiration Station on the rooftop of the StarCitizen:Crusader Industries Showroom building. The Mercenary contract "Orison Platforms Under Attack" can direct players there, but is optional and does not affect the progress of the main contract.
Once players pass the instancing gate and walk down the stairs to the Solanki Platform shuttle they will automatically receive the "Retake Platforms From Nine Tails" contract and a mission introduction from Northrock Rep. Du-Buisson. After the intro, players may board the shuttle and travel to Solanki Platform.
Stage 1: Solanki Platform
While on the shuttle to Solanki Platform, players will be briefed by Rep. Du-Buisson and Crusader Security's Cpt. Reynolds.
Quotes
"Hello, Adrienne Du-Buisson with Northrock here. To catch you up, it seems Crusader Security's attempts to take back their platforms from the Nine Tails gang members have been impressively unsuccessful so far. I'm still collating the final details of the situation and will have a full debrief ready for you once you are underway. The shuttle that will take you to the platforms should be just ahead.
"As you make your way to the next platform, understand that by shutting down an inverter the Nine Tails may be adjusting their offensive strategy, so be careful.
"This is Captain Reynolds with Crusader Security. My ATLS team have been trying to make headway, but we're pinned down on the second platform. We'll try to hold out as long as we can until you get here.
"I had been trying to re-establish contact with the team on the first platform to no avail. They were under heavy Nine Tail mortar fire so until we hear otherwise, best to consider them a total loss. Those mortars will be your first obstacle to clear once you've touched down.
Development
Siege of Orison is introduced in Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.0, it is the first activity to implement instancing technology in the StarCitizen:Persistent Universe and is a comprehensive rework of the dynamic event of the same name.<ref name="410-patch">Template:Cite RSI</ref>
