Template:Infobox Spell Splinter is a utility spell unlocked by progressing a player's Dragonwilds:Woodcutting skill. When cast on fallen trees, it instantly chops them into wooden logs, allowing a player to harvest the raw material. A single cast can affect multiple fallen trees, but never affects stumps. This does not affect the durability of the player's logging axe.
Each quarter of a fallen tree will give the adventurer 25 Woodcutting Dragonwilds:experience when using Splinter, meaning using the spell on a full fallen tree would yield 100 Woodcutting experience, no matter the type of tree. In addition, casting the Splinter spell gives the player 2-3 fewer logs (regardless of the type of tree), compared to splitting the fallen tree and cutting it into logs.
Splinter requires the player to have a Logging Axe of any material in their inventory to cast and can be used in conjunction with the Dragonwilds:Trunk Totem spell.
