I'm something of a geologist, and I have three reference books that describe different origins for luminite. A fanciful book states that they come from the sky, from shooting stars. Another reference with a theological bent claims that Elidinis brought the rocks to Ashenfall (how she drilled them into the ground is not covered in the book). Another tome, which I am more inclined to believe, says that luminite was once coal that got twisted with anima. If you're a student geologist and fancy a good topic for a thesis, I'd recommend investigating which one is correct. | |||

Luminite deposits are Dragonwilds:Mining Dragonwilds:resource nodes found exclusively within the Dragonwilds:Scorned Wilderness. They share a visual structure similar to rune essence rocks, though they feature a distinct colouration and are not associated with geysers. Mining these nodes yields luminite ore, an essential material used alongside runite ore to smelt rune bars.
Usage
Mining a luminite deposit yields luminite ore. Three luminite ores are combined with three runite ores at a Dragonwilds:furnace to smelt a single Dragonwilds:Rune Bar.
Location
Unlike rune essence rocks, luminite deposits are not found near geysers and are located solely within the Dragonwilds:Scorned Wilderness.
