Minecraft:Vote Update capes: Difference between revisions

Revision as of 11:23, 3 October 2026

Template:Redirect Template:Joke feature The vote update capes were a list of capes released as part of the 23w13a_or_b April Fools update on April 1, 2023, and can be obtained through voting. These capes are exclusive to this version and are not assigned to any player's account. Unlike real capes, none of these capes override Minecraft:elytra textures.

The word "cape" is intentionally misspelled as "caep" in the game files and in the vote.

List of capes

Name	Cape	Texture	Notes
Awesom caep	File:Awesom cape.png	File:Awesom Cape.png	This cape texture is based on the Blonk caep, an edited Minecraft:Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over and recolored to green. The word "awesom" is plastered on the cape with the letters of "som" being colored yellow, red, and green respectfully.
Blonk caep	File:Blonk cape.png	File:Blonk Cape.png	This cape is an edited Minecraft:Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over with red color. This cape cannot actually be obtained in-game, as voting for the "blonk" option simply repeals the cape rule.
No-Circle caep	File:No-circle cape.png	File:No circle Cape.png	This cape texture is based on the Blonk caep, an edited Minecraft:Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over and recolored to a cyan color matching Minecraft:Steve's shirt color. A circle-like shape is plastered on the cape with a red line barring across.
Nyan caep	File:Nyan cape.png	File:Nyan Cape.png	This cape is a reference to the Nyan Cat music video with a black background and a swirly rainbow design.
Squid caep	File:Squid cape.png	File:Squid Cape.png	This cape texture is based on the Blonk caep, an edited Minecraft:Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over and recolored to light blue. A squid is plastered on the cape.
Veterinarian caep	File:Veterinarian cape.png	File:Veterinarian Cape.png	This cape texture is based on the Blonk caep, an edited Minecraft:Mojang Cape with the Mojang logo being painted over and recolored to light purple. The word "vet" and a Calico Minecraft:Cat face is plastered on the cape.
