Candle Making Overview

Candle Making is a crafting skill involved with the creation of buff-granting candles. Once a candle is deployed, all who appreciate it before it despawns will be granted the buff.

• Gorvessa in Hogan's Basement unlocks levels 51-60.
• Bendith the Banished in the Fae Realm unlocks levels 61-70 and levels 71-80.
• Electra Breakdawn in Statehelm unlocks levels 81-90 and 91-100.

Candle Making Books

Candle Making books can be found at candle stations across Alharth. Candle stations teach recipes to users with high enough Candle Making levels to craft the candles available at that station. Most candles can only be crafted at the station that teaches the recipe for that candle.

Candle Crafting and Stations

Most candles may be crafted at any station, but the candles taught by the 5 books can only be crafted at their respective candle-crafting station. For example, Bacon candles may only be crafted at the candle-crafting station in Hogan's Keep.

As of the September 8, 2025 update, the candlemaking station in the Fae realm was moved into Errruka's Cave dungeon. This is consistent with the other stations.

Acquiring Fat

The first 2 animal Fats Filthy Animal Fat and Lumpy Animal Fat can be butchered, or crafted from stacks of cheap meat. Typical Animal Fat and Smooth Animal Fat can only be acquired as a bonus from butchering animals.
