Template:Infobox cape The Aurora Cape is a Minecraft:cape that was given out to players by participating in a WatchTime Quest both on Minecraft:TikTok and Minecraft:Twitch. It was part of a promotion for Template:MCD2.<ref name=":023">Template:Mcnet</ref>
Appearance
The cape's design has a blue-orange-yellow gradient resembling Template:MCD2 sky as seen in Dungeons II<ref>Template:Bsky in response to Template:Bsky</ref> with white dots on the back.
The Minecraft:elytra form looks similar, with pointed edges around the wings and a general white and pale green outline.
Distribution
Players can receive this cape by redeeming a code, which could've been obtained by either participating on one of these two platforms:Template:Note
- Watching any livestreams in the Minecraft Dungeons II category on Minecraft:Twitch for 15 minutes; Template:Note or
- Watching any Dungeons II livestreams on Minecraft:TikTok for 3 minutes.
This could be done from September 29 at 07:00 UTC, through October 15, 2026, at 06:59 UTC.<ref name="tweet" /> Codes for the cape are slated to expire October 31, 2026.<ref name="redeem">Template:Cite</ref>
History
Trivia
- The cape is based on a "spare" Template:MCD2 cape concept resembling Template:MCD2, which Minecraft:Marc Watson and two other artists adapted.<ref name="marc">Template:Bsky</ref>
- Watson has said that "at least 6 people were involved in its design over time."<ref>Template:Bsky</ref>
- The cape was referred to as the "CCC Item" on the page to redeem the cape before being renamed to “Aurora Cape”.
- Not in history, but TikTok codes were refreshed on Oct 7,2026
