It can be ascended at the mystic forge using Dragonwilds:ascension cores.

Its Dragonwilds:special effect is -15% Dragonwilds:critical strike chance, which alongside its lower rune damage modifier at every Dragonwilds:power level, makes this the weakest staff to ascend.

For example, compare this to the Dragonwilds:draconic staff: That staff has +15% critical strike chance but has -15% Dragonwilds:durability to compensate. However, it has the same rune damage modifier as most other staffs at the same power level, while this staff has less, with no benefit to offset the reduced chance to crit.
