Blocks

Several salmon-colored blocks are referred to as orange in color in the Audio Description.<ref name=":0" />

File:Sift stone.png Sift stone

A dark grayish stone-like block that has a turquoise tint.

File:Sift dirt.png Sift dirt

A dark pink dirt-like block that generates naturally below grass blocks.

File:Sift grass block.pngTemplate:Pximg Dark Sift grass block

This version has a dark salmon color but is referred to as orange in the Audio Description.<ref name=":0">Template:YouTube link</ref>

File:Pinker sift grass block.pngTemplate:Pximg Light Sift grass block

This version has a lighter salmon color but is referred to as orange in the Audio Description.<ref name=":0" />

File:Green sift grass block.png Green Sift grass block

A damp green grass-like block visible in the distance in the reveal footage.

File:Short sift grass.png Dark Sift short grass

This version has a dark salmon color but is referred to as orange in the Audio Description.<ref name=":0" />

File:Pinker short sift grass.png Light Sift short grass

This version has a lighter salmon color but is referred to as orange in the Audio Description.<ref name=":0" />

File:Short green sift grass.png Green Sift short grass

Short green foliage visible in the distance in the reveal footage.

File:Tall sift grass.png Dark Sift tall grass

It is not clear if multiple shades of this exist from the reveal footage.
The closest of these to the camera have their bottom halves mostly obscured by shorter variants; however, it seems as though they are indeed two blocks high, rather than one block high growing on an obscured grass block.

File:Tall green sift grass.png Green Sift tall grass

Tall green foliage visible in the distance of the reveal footage.

File:White tree log.png Sift tree log

A gray tree trunk block, comparable in color to the Minecraft:pale oak log.

File:White tree leaves.png Sift tree leaves

Comprises the upper canopies of a generated tree feature in an unnamed, distant forested biome depicted in the reveal.

File:Weeping white foliage.png Sift foliage

This stalactite-like block, much like Minecraft:pale hanging moss from Minecraft:pale oak trees or Minecraft:weeping vines from Minecraft:huge crimson fungi, appears to hang down from the Sift tree features, attached to the underside of Sift tree leaves blocks.

Mobs

File:Blub.png Minecraft:Blub

A small, rabbit-like<ref>Template:YouTube link</ref> passive mob that is native to the Sift and can squeak.

Environment

The Sift appears to have a significant amount of elevation changes; cliffs of at least a dozen blocks may be seen, and the top of a tree-like structure can be seen in the distance between some of the foliage in the foreground, implying a height difference of several dozen blocks.

Biomes

Pink meadow

A biome that is floored with salmon/pink dirt-like blocks and grasses.
The blub is seen in this biome.

Green meadow

A biome that is floored with green dirt-like blocks and grasses visible in the distance to the right of the Sift forest in the reveal footage.

Sift forest

A biome wooded with Sift trees.
Seems to generate trees densely packed together similarly to Minecraft:dark forests.

Features

File:White tree.png Sift tree

Generated feature composed of dark gray log-like blocks similar to Minecraft:pale oak logs and white leaf-like blocks.
Appears to generate with a thick trunk that thins further up the tree, with the thicker part of the trunk appearing much thicker than the trunks of previously existing Minecraft:tree types.

Trivia

Despite Minecraft:Agnes Larsson stating that the Sift is the first new dimension to be implemented into the base game in 14 years, its 2027-scheduled implementation actually increases that count to at least 15, as Minecraft:the End was implemented first in November 2011.
- As of currently, the End was first accessible in a development version Template:Age in years and days ago (Minecraft:Java Edition Beta 1.9 Prerelease 4, released 2011-10-13), and in a full release Template:Age in years and days ago (Minecraft:Java Edition 1.0.0, released 2011-11-18).
