Getting Started
Speak to Zi in Umbral Sands to start this quest. KotHaar-Zi is located in The Burning Spire, directly south-east of Sinking Pyramid on an 'L-shaped' island.
Protection from Scorch
KotHaar-Zi will inform you that their body was not made to survive Scorch and asks for assistance with adapting. They ask you to bring them 3 Dragonwilds:raw beltfish and 1 Dragonwilds:cactus steak.
"THE GAUNTLET OF FIRE!"
Template:Map After returning to KotHaar-Zi, they will tell you about four pedestals, scattered around the Burning Spire area - giant black blocks with fire on top. Reforged Zi
Upon entering the Cave of Screams, you'll immediately be met by two hostile Dragonwilds:KotHaar-Xil and a hostile Reforged Zi. Defeat all three enemies. After Reforged Zi is defeated, Dragonwilds:Zi core will appear on the ground - grab it and then exit the cave.
Return to the Bouncer
Talk to the Bouncer, and they will reward you for assisting with Zi and give you the Dragonwilds:plate of pure obsidian, which unlocks the recipe for Dragonwilds:obsidian cape.
