Deer Overview
Deer is a common Beast Form. Druids eventually unlock the ability to shift in and out of Deer Form at will, and other players can transform themselves with Deer Juice/Un-Deer Juice. The last option for becoming a deer is taking a rage attack from Ciervos The Shadow, and defeating him will uncurse you.
Deer are typically solid bruisers/offtanks. They can provide decent self-healing and have the ability to summon a deer pet. Deer also have access to potent movement speed buffs.
Being a deer means you look harmless to other animals, so enemy deer and similar animals don’t run away from you.
For more information on how to navigate being turned into an animal visit the Beast Forms page for advice.
In-Game Description
The art of living and fighting as a deer.
Training Deer
- The Deer Form ability is unlocked automatically by Druids at level 25
- The dark elk Ciervos The Shadow will curse deer form unto anyone hit by his rage attack
- Drinking a Deer Juice will turn you into a deer. Yetta in Eltibule Keep sells both the Deer Juice and Un-Deer Juice, but it should be noted that she will not speak to animals. Thus, if you are a deer in need of an Un-Deer Juice, you may need a humanoid friend to buy it from her for you.
- Jumper will unlock levels 51-70 and train 51+ abilities
- Noita the Green unlocks 71-80.
- Levels 81-90 are unlocked by Big Footed Jim deep beneath Povus.
- Parella in Statehelm unlocks levels 81-100, Prodigy Potential, and trains 90+ abilities.
Note: Druids looking to train deer skills with Jumper will need to stay in Deer (or other beast-form, not including bird forms) for at least three in-game hours before Jumper will speak with you.

Deer Mechanics
Lack of Hands
Playing as a deer you lack the ability to cut wood, milk cows or use Sigil Scripting, like a deer needs to do those things anyway.
NPC Communication
Some NPCs may interact with harmless animals (eg Deer), but a considerable number flat-out refuse to speak with any non-humanoids. Others may require a bribe or favor to open their minds to the fact you're more than some filthy animal. A list showing what NPC's will and will not communicate with you can be found on the Beast Forms page.
Riding
As a Beast Form, Deer are not able to use the traditional Horse mounts offered through Riding. Instead, Silvia in Sun Vale teaches a mount-form to Deer players who are at least level 25, as well as a speed-up ability that reduces mount anxiety and increases jump height.
Diet
Currently what you eat doesn't really change your experience as a deer, though eating meals prepared from deer meat may leave you with a guilty conscious but they probably deserved it anyway so enjoy.
Drugs & Enhancements
As an animal, there's a number of items you're able to consume to help you become the best deer possible. One of these magical substances is known as Bounceweed and has no negative effects what so ever...unless you stop taking it. If your tiny ruminant mind is tired and overwhelmed with bounceweed addiction a friendly mantis called Yavazek will barter you some Calmweed putting you on the road to recovery.
Jumping
The ability Bounding Escape gives deer a considerable boost in jumping capability, allowing you to reach ledges, avoid obstacles or hungry predators.
Summon Deer
A PC deer can summon one companion deer at level 12 using the skill Summon Deer. This ability can be used out of deer form, but the Deer skillset must be active.
| Level | Ability | Armor | Health | Rage | Base Damage | Rage Damage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | Summon Deer 1 | 90 | 108 | 110 | 12 | 24 |
