- A ghost gave it to me. She said she left 'everything' to her brother. And I think that's you.
You... she did? Well, the only thing of hers I still have is her stupid magic box. I hid it when they were hunting for her. But without the key, it's just a memento of my sister. It's been cursed so if anyone tries to open it without the key, everything inside shatters! And this is the key. Except not really.
- Do you know where the real key is?
I do. Kimeta gave it to me just before she was killed, and told me to throw it into the river. Which I did. I didn't realize what I was throwing away at the time. I used to think I was doing her a favor, but now I realize she was punishing me for siding with the others.
- So... the key is lost?
It is definitely lost. But some lost things are found again, right? Hey, I've heard of a friendly ranalon trader who collects river treasures. Maybe if you found them, they'd know more.
